Managing Director gives lifts to those stranded at Poole Hospital

Our managing director, Darren, was busy helping those stranded at Poole Hospital get back to their homes during the snowy conditions on Friday. Darren helped out by providing lifts in his 4x4, much to the relief of nurses and patients facing the prospect of an unwelcome overnight stay away. He even helped a newborn baby make his first trip home!

The so-named ‘Beast From the East’ caused travel chaos around Poole and Bournemouth on Thursday and Friday and is the worst snow the area has gotten since the winter of 2010, with many being forced to abandon their cars and resort to walking on foot. Only 4x4 vehicles could properly handle the icy conditions with any success, which left many people stranded. Darren thought it was only right that he help you these people caught out by the treacherous conditions.

Darren received this thank you message from a particularly relieved family that he helped get home:

Hi there,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you again for your kindness today when you used your 4 x 4 to drop myself, my husband and day old baby boy home to Moordiown from Poole Maternity.

Your kindness will always be remembered and our new little family greatly appreciate the gesture you offered at this snowy time.

All the best, Amy, Ricky and Baby Langlois
